We had been planning a family reunion for my side of the family for months and picked a halfway point (well, kind of!) for us and my relatives in Indiana and came up with Milton, Wisconsin. We found a great camping resort called Lakeland and rented cabins for the weekend, and it was so much fun! The kids had a blast swimming, playing at the park and arcade and just hanging around the campsite. My cousins had a pontoon and us adults got to take a pontoon ride Friday night which was a blast. The time went way too fast, but hopefully we can do it again next year.

Taylor Swift Concert
Macey and I met up with my friend Jeni and her three girls the other weekend and headed to CountryFest to see Taylor Swift! I think they were all just a little excited to actually see the person who sings all the songs they love! It was a lot of fun except for trying to get out of the parking lot, which took about 45 minutes, and almost running out of gas in the process!
Wisconsin Dells Trip
Wisconsin Dells Trip
A few weeks ago we met up with a Mike's family for a few days at Wilderness in Wisconsin Dells. All but one of Mike's siblings was able to make it, and we all shared a five-bedroom cabin. I wish I would have taken pictures of the cabin because it was very nice! The kids had a blast at the water park. Macey and Mike had so much fun on the water slides with Aunt Shelly and cousins Dillon and Trevor. Mike loves it now that Macey is old enough to do fun stuff like that with him. It works out very well this way because I'm afraid of heights and rarely go down the big slides! Lilly and I hung out in the kiddie area, and she had fun going down the slides, but her favorite part was the big bucket that fills up and then dumps down on your head! I got out of the way, but Lilly wanted to be pretty much right under that thing and wasn't scared at all! Both girls really enjoyed the wave pool as well. I think fun was had by all, and we hope to do this again next year.

Train Ride
Today we decided to finally, after living in Osceola for almost 4 years, take a train ride from Osceola to Dresser. I can't even begin to tell you how excited Lilly was for the train ride! We told her the night before, and that's all she could think of that night until morning! I was a little concerned about how this active 2-year-old was going to do for 50 minutes on the ride, but she did great and loved every minute of it...well, not the first few minutes I guess, when we first took off! The train kind of jerked while first taking off and she grabbed onto Mike as hard as she could!! Macey really enjoyed it as well. We can't wait for this fall; they have a Halloween ride that we think would be lots of fun! The train ride was a blast and highly recommended :)
Lilly bug and Macey's Spring Concert
Not the best picture, but Macey is almost right directly in the middle.
Macey had her Spring Concert this past Thursday. The theme was "Destination Rock N Roll." They did some Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly songs, along with some others that I can't think of right now. Grandma Awe likes/liked Elvis so Macey invited her to come to the concert, and she was able to make it to that and her first game so that was nice. I don't think Macey liked doing some of the moves they had to do along with the songs based on her expression through most of those parts!
Lilly continues to amaze us each and every day, especially with her vocabulary! She still loves reading books and now is enjoying driving Macey's old Power Wheels Jeep, which we just got a new battery for. She still loves playing with her dolls and stuffed animals and likes carrying a purse around as well.
First Youth Baseball Game
Macey had her first game last Wednesday night. It was absolutely FREEZING with clouds and a little bit of rain, but it was still so much fun to watch! Macey only got up to bat once during the game. I believe she had a strike or two but then hit it pretty good. Unfortunately she got out on first base and wasn't very happy about that! So far she's really liking it, though she's a little afraid of the ball since practice with Mike a few weeks ago when she was hit right in the mouth with the ball! Her gums were bleeding and she thought her permanent tooth was loose; thank goodness it wasn't!
