Happy 2nd Birthday, Lilly!

Here Lilly is loungin' on her new Dora couch/bed that she got for her b-day!
Another birthday present - a baby that can take a bath with her. She was very excited as she is getting really into babies lately.
Birthday breakfast - and yes, it's supposed to be a smiley face, but the bacon wasn't cooperating with me!
Fawn Doe Rosa...feeding the deer...and riding the pony!

Today is Lilly's 2nd birthday. Where does time go? It seems like just yesterday we were finally holding our little baby who we waited for for almost 3 1/2 years! We think she is a special girl, that's for sure! She's getting so big and learning so much each and every day. She's picking up on a few things we wish she hadn't, like says "Man!" when frustrated, which I think all of us say, and also now says "I didn't mean it!" when she knows she has done something wrong, which I'm pretty sure she got from her big sis, Macey! She's doing great with her ABC's and counting to 10 (of course hasn't mastered either quite yet). She also has been doing great with going potty. These past few days I have gotten her to pee 3 to 4 times, and she even tried #2 for Daddy, but it didn't happen.

To celebrate Miss Lilly's birthday we decided to take the girls to Fawn Doe Rosa this morning. It was very hot but worth it because both girls had a great time! Lilly squealed with excitement when we first got there seeing the ducks and deer. She wasn't afraid at all and even took a pony ride!

More to come next weekend which is when we are having a family birthday party for her!

Vacation 2008 - Stonefire Pizza Co.

Huge building blocks!

Cheryl told us about this place - the Stonefire Pizza Co - and it was awesome! There were tons of different kinds of pizza, many kid-friendly foods like mini corndogs, mac and cheese and other pastas, as well as ice cream and slushies. After eating, the kids had a blast in all of the different play areas. They also had movies playing on big screens in a few of the rooms and then an arcade and area for the bigger kids as well, which we didn't go into since Macey was fine with just hanging out in the area more for the smaller kids. Lilly was getting tired so we didn't have a whole lot of time, but we'd love to go back to that place if ever in the area again and would highly recommend it!

Vacation 2008 - Four Wheeling

Before we left - notice how clean the four wheelers are! After - it's hard to see in the picture, but we got pretty dusty and dirty! It was a lot of fun!

Vacation 2008 - Stop at Grandma and Grandpa's House

This picture of Cooper and Lilly was actually taken at Nana's house, but I wanted to post it because it turned out so cute!

We started off our vacation by stopping in for a visit at Doug and Jill's house to meet the other new baby in the family - Loftyn (unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera in). She's just perfect as well! It's funny how fast you forget how tiny a newborn is! Lilly just couldn't believe her eyes; I think she was expecting a baby maybe around the size of a 1-year-old, like at daycare, and she just couldn't believe it when she saw how tiny Loftyn is!

We then headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for the night and then left for the Milwaukee area the next morning. We were dreading the 4-hour drive, but, to our surprise, the ride actually went fast and the kids did great.

We got back to Nana's late in the day Thursday and then went four-wheeling with Aunt Shelly, and cousins Trevor and Dillon. It was a lot of fun, though I think most of us were glad when we got back because the trails were bumpy.

We were supposed to head to Papa and Melinda's for a day of four-wheeling with them on Saturday, but Lilly woke up early Saturday morning with a fever, so we decided to cut our vacation a day short and head home. Poor girl still is not feeling well and must have picked up a bug somewhere during our vacation, but hopefully she feels better soon so she can visit her friends at daycare on Tuesday.

Vacation 2008- Swimming at the Hotel

We stayed one night at a hotel near Milwaukee. This was Lilly's first time staying in a hotel, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. She did surprisingly well, but then again she did go swimming and for a visit at Auntie Terry's house before bedtime, so she was probably pretty pooped by the time we got back there!

Vacation 2008 - To Auntie Cheryl and Uncle Neal's House

On our vacation, we went to visit Cheryl and Neal and family. We got to meet Maryn, and she's just perfect! The girls had a lot of fun playing with their cousins. Lilly, being the jumper she is, taught Mabel how to jump off her picnic table (see top picture of this post, the background of the picture of Macey and Marlee!!)! Marlee and Macey had fun driving the Power Wheels truck in the backyard while Lilly and Mabel went down the slide. We had a really good time and hope we see them again soon!

Vacation 2008- Visit to Auntie Terry's House

First stop in Sussex, WI at Terry and Dave's House. Here's Lilly with Keri and little Brody.
Here is Jason, Brody, Andrea, Terry and Keri - my cousins and aunt.
